Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Rolling Stones' Keith Richards are both featured in a new blues documentary, Honeyboy and the History of the Blues.
The DVD will look at the life of blues legend David "Honeyboy" Edwards, who passed away in Chicago on August 29, 2011 at age 96. Footage of Edwards is included in the documentary with him playing in clubs, in a rural setting and along the Chicago lakefront.
During the film several musicians are interviewed, such as Richards, Perry, Robert Cray, B.B. King and Lucinda Williams. Each person talks about the importance of blues in American popular music and in their own repertoire.
A few of the awards given to Edwards included a Grammy Award in 2008 for Best Traditional Blues Album and the Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2010.
