Romania's annual inflation remained broadly stable in May, data released by the National Institute of Statistics showed Monday.
The consumer price index increased 1.79 percent on an annual basis in May, broadly unchanged from the 1.8 percent growth seen in April.
Prices of non-food products advanced 3.26 percent year-on-year, while service costs moved up 6.21 percent. Meanwhile, there was a 2.13 percent decrease in prices of food products during the month.
Month-on-month, consumer prices edged up 0.2 percent in May, with food prices and non-food prices gaining 0.02 percent and 0.21 percent respectively, the agency said.
