Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) said on Monday that it narrowed its second-quarter revenue and earnings per share outlook.

Looking ahead for the second-quarter, the company now expects earnings per share to be in the range of $0.32 - $0.36, compared to the prior range of $0.30 - $0.38.

Revenue for the second-quarter is now expected to be between $3.28 billion and $3.42 billion, compared to the prior range of $3.22 billion - $3.48 billion.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.41 per share on revenues of $3.35 billion for the second-quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
