Kate Walsh has confirmed that she is, in fact, leaving "Private Practice." Rumors have circulated the web in recent months and Walsh appeared on Bethenny Frankel's talk show to confirm the news.
Speaking with Frankel, Walsh said that "Private Practice" has been a tremendous chapter in her life, but it's time to move on:
"This is my last season for Private Practice, yes," she told Frankel. "It's been an incredible journey and an amazing ride . . . It's bittersweet. It's a huge chapter of my life."
The news comes just weeks after co-star Tim Daly revealed that his character, Pete Wilder had been written out of the show. He broke the news via Twitter, explaining the decision was made by creator Shonda Rhimes:
"Wonderful fans of PPP. Shonda [Rhimes] informed my agent today that Pete wont be returning for season 6," Daly tweeted. "It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder."
