The Strokes have commenced work on their next studio release. According to a new report from Billboard, the band is encamped at New York's famed Electric Lady Studios and is working on tracks for the follow-up to their most recent effort Angles.
Speaking with NME.com, bassist Nikolai Fraiture admits that the band is in a much healthier state of mind on this record.
He adds, however, that not everyone is contributing to the writing sessions yet:
"Some people are bringing in stuff, some are not. There aren't so many finished songs but we have many parts. We try putting them together like puzzles and making them stick."
"What we do on our own is not the same as what we do together. We're in a good place as a band right now. I feel like I'm at therapy in a marriage," he added.
