Adele's hit single "Rolling in the Deep" has reportedly helped to bring one 7-year-old British girl out of a week-long coma.
According to spinner.com, Charlotte Neve suffered a brain hemorrhage on April 13 and after emergency surgery she emerged from a coma a week later to the sounds of Adele's signature track.
Charlotte's mother Leile spoke with the UK's Telegraph to explain the miraculous event:
"Charlotte started smiling, and I couldn't believe it. It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again. The nurses said it was like I 'unlocked her' and from that day she started getting better and better."
Leila added that Charlotte is on a steady road to recovery and credits the soul diva's voice for helping the her daughter turn the corner:
"A day or two after the Adele incident . . . she literally went from smiling and being giddy to standing up in bed," she continued. "It was a miracle."
