Blur will debut two new tracks live via Twitter at 6:15 PM BST (or, 1:15 PM EST) on July 2. The songs, "The Westway" and "The Puritan," were written for the group's sold-out Hyde Park gig on August 12.
"People all over the world are connecting with the musicians they love on Twitter. Blur is taking this idea even further by debuting two new songs through a live stream and having a direct conversation with their fans on the platform," said a rep for the band.
"They know what their fans want and are setting the pace for the future of artist engagement online," the rep added.
After the performance the songs will be available for download. A limited edition double A-side 7-inch single will be released by Parlophone on August 6.
Head to Twitter.com/blurofficial on July 2 to watch the live stream.
