Keith Richards says the next Rolling Stones album may be produced by Jack White, according to a report from Rolling Stone magazine. Speaking with the mag, Richards says the possibility has not been ruled out:

"That's always a possibility. The door is wide open."

Richards and White previously worked together on several unreleased recordings in 2009; before that, White appeared in the Stones' 2006 Martin Scorsese-directed concert film, Shine a Light.

"I don't know if [Jack] ever considered that it was actually, like, master cuts," Richards said regarding the 2009 tracks. "But at the same time if Jack wanted to [release them], I'd probably say, 'Yeah.'"

Richards added that the band is meeting in London in July to talk about future plans. They last rehearsed in April, which went well, says Richards:

"We hadn't done it for a while, five years or something . . . it sounded as fresh as you could hope for."
