Following the release of Canada gross domestic product data for April at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie gained slightly against its major counterparts.
The loonie is now trading at 1.2913 against the euro, 77.84 against the yen, 1.0445 against the aussie and 1.0210 against the greenback.
