Malaysia Trade Balance Due On Wednesday

Malaysia will on Wednesday provide May figures for imports, exports and trade balance, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Imports were at 50.23 billion ringgit in April, while exports came in at 38.66 billion ringgit, resulting in a shortfall of 11.57 billion ringgit.

Australia will see May results for retail sales, as well as the AiG Performance of Service Index for June. Retail sales are expected to add 0.2 percent on month after easing 0.2 percent in April; sales jumped 3.1 percent on year in the previous month. The service index saw a score of 43.5 in May.

China will provide results for the HSBC Services PMI for June; it had a score of 54.7 in May.
