Actor Josh Lucas and his wife Jessica have welcomed their first child into the world. The boy, named Noah Rev Maurer, was born in New York City on Friday and weighed in at 9 pounds, 4 ounces.
The 41-year-old and his wife wasted little time starting a family, after becoming engaged in January and tying the knot in a secret ceremony in March. Lucas made headlines earlier this year regaling eonline.com of the unusual event that inspired him to drop the knee.
While shooting in Big Sur, California the couple was approached by a mountain lion:
"I hear, totally serious, two big breaths, and six feet above me, I see the very slight glint of the eyes of a huge [mountain lion] and I literally proceed to do what I had just read in the instructions. And I started screaming and yelling and literally being as crazy as I could be, it padded off and just slowly went away and I worked my way into the trailer and I got in and I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me," he explained.
