D'Angelo And Mary J. Blige Announce The Liberation Tour Dates

D'Angelo has announced a string of dates for his Liberation Tour with Mary J. Blige.

The tour begins stateside on August 18 at Virginia Beach, Virginia's Farm Bureau Live and through the course of late August and early September hits Wantagh, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, Holmdel, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The tour is said to be 20 cities total, but only a handful have been confirmed thus far.

In early June, D'Angelo made his first U.S. live appearance in a dozen years at the third and final night of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

He played a varied 90-minute set which included Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland," Parliament Funkadelic's "Funky Dollar Bill," Led Zeppelin's "What Is and What Should Never Be" and the Beatles' "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window." He did not, however, play any new original music.
