UniTek Global Services Appoints Rocky Romanella As CEO - Quick Facts

UniTek Global Services, Inc. (UNTK) announced that its Board has appointed Rocky Romanella as UniTek's Chief Executive Officer or CEO, effective July 18, 2012.

Giving a brief description about Romanella, the company sated that he has spent his entire career spanning more than 36 years at United Parcel Service or UPS. Under his direction, UPS successfully launched one of the largest re-branding initiatives in franchising history, revolutionizing the $9 billion retail shipping and business services market.

UniTek stated that Romanella was responsible for the global strategy of all U.S. and international retail channels and his responsibilities have also included overseeing nearly 72,000 employees throughout nine states.

In connection with his hiring, Romanella will receive an inducement grant of 192,307 shares upon his commencement of employment subject to service-based vesting in four equal annual installments on the dates that are 6, 12, 18 and 24 months following the grant date, UniTek said.
