Santiago Cabrera ("Heroes") will star on an upcoming season of "Dexter," reports Entertainment Weekly exclusively. The Chilean actor will play Ethan Price, "a charming investigative writer of true crime books about famous murder cases."
Cabrera joins Yvonne Strahovski ("Chuck") and Ray Stevenson ("Rome") as newcomers to season seven of the hit show.
On "Heroes" Cabrera played the role of Isaac Mendez, a painter; more recently he played the part of Lancelot in BBC's "Merlin" and he had a part in the pilot episode of Fox's short-lived "Alcatraz."
"There was always a certain fascination, I thought, that Deb had for Dexter . . . a pull," the show's Jennifer Carpenter teased of the upcoming season at the recent ComicCon. "It didn't feel like it was so bizarre to play that last season . . . it makes some sort of sense . . . [but] I think that the stabbing trumps those thoughts."
"Dexter" airs September 30 on Showtime.
