Josh Thompson has left RCA, according to a confirmation from a label rep. Thompson released his debut album Way Out Here for the label group in early 2010.

The singer was originally assigned to the Columbia imprint, whose staff worked his first three singles, 2009's "Beer On The Table," and 2010's "Way Out Here" and "Won't Be Lonely Long." He was moved to RCA for his fourth single, "Comin' Around."

"Comin' Around," according to a report from CMT News, was intended to be the lead single from a new album from Thompson titled Change and due for a summer release.

In an interview earlier this month with Sony Entertainment Network, Thompson had confirmed those plans:

"The new record is done, so we're just working this first single called, "Comin' Around," and hopefully the record will be out sometime this year."
