The Canadian Country Music Awards has announced the list of nominees for its upcoming ceremony. Canuck sensation Johnny Reid leads all comers with eight nods including Fans' Choice Award, Male Artist, Interactive Artist and Record Producer of the Year.
Several well-known country stars will light up the stage at the event including Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Eric Church, George Canyon and Paul Brandt.
"All of today's nominees deserve ample recognition for their excellence as well as their tremendous contribution to Canadian country music," said Don Green, Executive Director, CCMA.
"This year's nominees reflect the depth of musical talent in Canada, and we're so proud to be able to recognize those artists - both established and emerging - who have impacted Canadians with their music," he added.
The 2012 CCMA Awards will be broadcast live on CBC Television from Credit Union Centre on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 8 p.m.
