Miguel, will release his sophomore album Kaleidoscope Dreams (formerly State of the Art), in three parts, beginning with two digital EPs. The final installment will combine the two EPs and add five new tracks.
The first release, Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview EP, hits iTunes July 31st. It's follow-up, Kaleidoscope Dream: Air Preview, hits iTunes September 11th.
"I believe dreams represent the purest form of fantasy we unleash through our subconscious," Miguel said in a statement issued by the label. "They represent the truest freedom we can experience. Totally unrepressed and totally creative."
Salaam Remi, Pop & Oak, Jerry Wonda and more add production on the Bystorm/RCA Records release.
Kaleidoscope Dreams, in its final format, is due October 2. On August 1 Spin will premiere a stream of a Miguel performance from a "secret live show."
