Chefs' Warehouse Inc. (CHEF) shares fell ten percent in after market hours, after the company reported a profit and sales for the second quarter below analysts' estimates.
Net income available to common stockholders was $4.5 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $2.7 million or $0.17 per share in the second quarter last year.
Adjusted income was $4.7 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $4.1 million or $0.20 per share last year.
Net sales increased 15.7 percent to $114.8 million from $99.3 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.24 per share, and revenues of $118.05 million for the quarter.
For the full year 2012, the company now expects revenue of $445.0 million to $455.0 million, earnings of $0.77 to $0.83 per share, and adjusted earnings of $0.80 to $0.86 per share.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently estimate earnings of $0.91 per share on revenues of 463.11 million.
