Stephen Colbert announced earlier this week that he would host a concert on August 10 aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York.
Acts included on the bill are Flaming Lips, Santigold, Grandmaster Flash, Grizzly Bear, and the band fun. Grandmaster Flash serves as the official DJ for the event.
Colbert announced the news with signature bombast, calling it "StePhest Colbchella '012: RocktAugustFest," and joking:
"Folks, if you watch this show on a regular basis, then you know that I am a big player in the music biz. And folks, I know all the latest hottest bands, like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza . . . those guys are great."
To promote the event, Colbert has been featuring the musical guests all week. Tickets for the show are currently on sale.
