Green Day has announced that they will release a comprehensive, eight disc box set this fall featuring their entire catalog.
The release, titled The Studio Albums 1990-2009, will offer Green Day's 1990 debut album, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, 1992's Kerplunk, 1994's Dookie, 1995's Insomniac, 1997's Nimrod, 2000's Warning, 2004's American Idiot and 2009's 21st Century Breakdown.
The Studio Albums 1990-2009 is due September 4, available only at Best Buy. The packaging features each album housed in an individual CD paper-sleeve with original artwork in a clamshell box. The new anthology release arrives three weeks ahead of the band's forthcoming new studio album, ¡Uno!. The other two installments, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, are slated for release on November 13, 2012 and January 15, 2013, respectively.
