American Science & Engineering (ASEI) reported first quarter EPS of $0.47 after the bell Thursday, down from $0.61 last year. The company also announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a $35 million stock repurchase program.
American Science & Engineering gapped up sharply Friday and has continued to rise in early trade. Shares are now up 7.09 at $61.97. The stock has risen above a one-month range and has set a 2 1/2 month high.
