The Red Hot Chili Peppers hit the stage at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago's Grant Park over the weekend. It was the band's first appearance at the legendary festival since adding their current guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced John Frusciante in 2009.

The band helped support their most recent release, 2011's I'm With You during the performance, offering up tracks on the album including "Monarchy of Roses." They also played several of their best-loved tracks including "Under the Bridge" and "Give It Away."

The L.A. rock icons joined an impressive list of performers at this year's event including metal godfathers Black Sabbath, DJ Calvin Harris, fun., Frank Ocean and the Weeknd. The show marked a triumphant return for Sabbath, whose legendary lead guitarist Tony Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma earlier this year.
