Aer Lingus Group plc (AERL.L) announced traffic statistics for the month of July 2012.
Total traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometers, for the month grew 1.2% to 1.56 billion from last year. Capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, declined 1.3% year-over-year to 1.81 billion.
Load factor was 86.6% versus 84.5% last year.
Short haul flown load factor was 85.1%, an increase of 2.4 points on July 2011, with capacity decreasing by 1.9%. Long haul flown load factor was 89.9%, an increase of 1.5 points on July 2011, with capacity in line with prior year.
