Jack White closed out Lollapalooza with a three-part, 19-song headlining set on Sunday night (August 5). White pulled material from his recent first solo release Blunderbuss, playing a rousing version of "Sixteen Saltines," and tapped his rocking past with White Stripes hits like "Hotel Yerba."
For the performance, White had two separate backing bands: the all-male Los Buzzardos and the all-female Peacocks.
"He was a fountain of calm in between songs, taking quiet sips from a mug on stage while his bandmates adjusted their pedals, but when the bass drum kicked in, he drove rage and ache through the jittery walls of sound 'Pattern Against User' and 'One Armed Scissor'," reported Entertainment Weekly from the Event.
