Incubus' manager, Steve Rennie, claims that the band is not breaking-up. The denial comes a day after lead man Brandon Boyd told Billboard that he was uncertain regarding the band's future and in the process of planning his own solo album:
"We have no plans, to tell you the truth, at the moment, I have been tinkering around, potentially, with a second solo record. That's probably the most likely scenario. But as far as Incubus right now, we'll probably take another break."
Rennie noted, in an interview with href= http://live105.cbslocal.com/2012/08/06/incubus-hiatus-blown-out-of-proportion-says-the-bands-manager/ target=_blank >CBS News, that the quote was misinterpreted:
"Incubus has always taken a bit of a break after making an album and touring in support of it. After they finish the tour, they'll have been on the road for a year and a half. Any band would need a break after that." Incubus took a five-year break between the release of 2006's Light Grenades and their 2011 album If Not Now, When.
