An indicator of Finland's total national output increased in May, a report from Statistics Finland showed Wednesday.

The trend indicator of output rose 0.8 percent month-on-month in May on a seasonally adjusted basis. After adjusting for working days, output rose 0.3 percent annually in May.

The growth rate for April was revised up to 0.4 percent from 0.2 percent reported earlier. The revision is caused by the benchmarking of the data to quarterly accounts, according to the statistical office.

On a working-day adjusted basis, primary production, that comprises agriculture, forestry and fishing, is estimated to have grown by 7 percent year-on-year.

Secondary production, that includes manufacturing and construction, grew by nearly 1 percent. Services output remained on level with the previous year.
