Joan Rivers Handcuffs Herself To Shopping Cart In Anti-Costco Protest

Joan Rivers handcuffed herself to a shopping cart outside a Costco in Burbank, California to protest the wholesale giant's decision not to sell her new book, "I Hate Everything . . . Starting with Me."

Wielding a bullhorn, Rivers compared "Nazi Germany," saying soon Costco would start burning bibles. The chain refuses to sell the book because it has dirty jokes on the back.

Costco called the police, upon whose arrival Rivers was asked to leave the parking lot, which she did. She did however note, when told that she was on Costco property, that she was on "Indian" property because the land on which Costco is built had been stolen from the Indians.

Video of Joan's Costco protest is currently available at the gossip site TMZ.
