China Yuchai International Ltd. (CYD) posted second-quarter profit attributable to owners of $10.61 million or $0.28 per share versus $24.53 million or $0.66 per share last year.
Revenue declined to $541.72 million from $635.15 million in the prior-year quarter.
The total number of diesel engines sold by GYMCL during the quarter was 109,329 units, down 21.5% from 139,236 units in the same quarter last year. This was mainly due to weaker demand in the commercial vehicle market, especially in the truck segment.
