Wendi McLendon-Covey will star on an upcoming episode of ABC's "Modern Family." The "Bridesmaids" star will play a lesbian mom whose son fights with Lily (adopted daugher of Cameron and Mitchell) at school, according to Entertainment Weekly.

McLendon-Covey's other half will be portrayed by former "Saturday Night Live" star, Michaela Watkins.

"I can't wait. I go in and film it tomorrow and Wednesday and Thursday," McLendon-Covey tells EW. "It'll be pretty fun."

She added that she will enjoy starring in a role which depicts her as a loving mother:

"I usually play someone who hates her kids — this time I love my child!"

In addition to her "Bridesmaids" role, McLendon-Covey plays a recurring role on CBS sitcom "Rules of Engagement" and is currently filming re-shoots for ABC's remake of the U.K. sitcom "Only Fools and Horses."
