Randy Jackson, manager of Mariah Carey, recently told Billboard the songstress has a new album "tentatively" set for release in March 2013.
Carey just released a new single, "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill. Speaking on the timing, Jackson said she wanted to get a new single to her fans to "hopefully lift everyone's spirits a little bit."
He added that "Triumphant" was inspired by Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, and his struggle with kidney failure earlier this year. "It's really about having it succeed, and people are hearing it."
Carey has already shot a Cannon-directed video, which will be released in the upcoming weeks. She released three different versions of the single, said Jackson, to demonstrate her "ability to cater to multiple audiences and radio formats."
