Jack White closed out the fifth annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, which ran Friday through Sunday at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The former White Stripes frontman performed songs off his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, for the massive crowd late Sunday evening.
Earlier in the festival White also hosted an impromptu performance at the Third Man Rolling Record Store alongside Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello. White surprised everyone by setting up the unannounced gig at his rolling record store and launching into songs from his solo album and from the album he made with the Raconteurs. Fans who missed the Third Man Rolling Record Store performance were still able to catch White on the main stage for his scheduled headlining gig.
The festival as a whole was a huge success. Each of the three days drew a capacity crowd, equaling roughly 200,000 people.
