LSI Industries Q4 Profit Edges Up - Quick Facts

LSI Industries Inc.'s (LYTS: Quote) fourth quarter net income was $1.51 million or $0.06 per share, compared to net income of $1.50 million or $0.06 per share in the year ago quarter. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.10 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 were $71.20 million, a decrease of 4% as compared to last year's fourth quarter net sales of $74.22 million.

The company said its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per share payable September 4, 2012 to shareholders of record as of August 28, 2012. The indicated annual cash dividend rate for fiscal 2012 is $0.24 per share.

After reporting a sharp drop in new orders for manufactured durable goods in the previous month, the Commerce Department released a report on Friday showing that durable goods orders rebounded by more than anticipated in the month of April. The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.
