The Japanese yen slipped against the pound and the Canadian dollar in European deals on Friday.
The yen fell to a new 6-week low of 124.98 against the pound and more than a 3-month low of 80.57 against the Canadian dollar, compared to yesterday's close of 124.87 and 80.45, respectively. If the yen slides further, it may target 125.5 against the pound and 81.00 against the loonie.
