The US dollar extended previous session's downtrend against the currencies of Europe and Switzerland in early New York deals on Tuesday.
The greenback reached 0.9659 against the Swiss franc around 8:00 am ET, its weakest mark since July 5. The dollar also fell to 1.2437 against the euro, its lowest level in 2-weeks.
On the downside, the US currency may find target levels at 1.2440 against the euro and 0.9590/0.96 against the Swiss franc.
