Hilary Swank has cut ties with her boyfriend of five years John Campisi. News came in an official statement from Swank's reps, who explained that the couple have been apart since May.
Swank and Campisi, who is also her agent, began dating in 2006 following Hilary's split from her ex-husband Chad Lowe. Swank and Lowe were married from 1997 to 2006.
In a 2010 interview with InStyle, Swank said that she and Campisi did not want to rush into marriage because they believed in the "sanctity" of the institution:
"I believe in the sanctity of marriage. John and I, you know, we were both in long marriages and it's not something that we need to rush back into."
