Limited Brands Inc. (LTD) reported a comparable store sales increase of 8 percent for the four weeks ended August 25, 2012, compared to the four weeks ended August 27, 2011. Net sales for the month were $665.6 million down from $702.4 million last year.
The company reported a comparable store sales increase of 8 percent for the 30 weeks ended August 25, 2012, compared to the 30 weeks ended Aug. 27, 2011. Net sales for the period were $5.218 billion, compared to net sales of $5.378 billion last year.
The company said that August 2011 and 2011 year-to-date net sales included $87.8 million and $518.3 million attributable to the third party apparel sourcing business, which was sold in November 2011.
