The US dollar extended early Asian session's downtrend against its Canadian counterpart ahead of the European session on Tuesday, falling to a 1-week low of 0.9853, down 0.07 percent from its previous close of 0.9860.
The greenback-loonie pair is presently trading just a few pips away from its key demand zone at 0.9800/45. Any bearish bias below the pivotal support area of 0.98 could set its weakest level in nearly 1-year.
