Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the World's Best Dressed Woman by People magazine. The actress and mother of two, nearing 40, beat out a host of younger actresses and the Duchess of Cambridge to win the honor.
According to Paltrow's stylist, the secret to her success is adherence to the old saying "less is more":
"She doesn't do fringe. She has a uniform. It's simple, not overdone."
Others honored included Emma Stone (Best Red Carpet Style), Rihanna (Riskiest Fashion Choices), Jessica Alba (Best Jeans), Jennifer Lawrence (Best Under 25) and Reese Witherspoon (Best Pregnancy).
According to the mag, the list was compiled after soliciting input from the celebrity magazine's 42 million readers, its editors and fashion bloggers. The Best/Worst Dressed issue hits newsstands on Friday (September 14).
