Analogic Q4 Profit Rises; Declares Dividend - Quick Facts

Analogic Corp. (ALOG) reported fourth-quarter GAAP net income of $12.1 million, or $0.96 per share, compared to $5.6 million, or $0.45 per share, in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011.

Non-GAAP net income for the fourth quarter rose to $16.6 million, or $1.32 per share from $10.3 million, or $0.83 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.71 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 was $151.01 million, up 12% from $135.35 million in the prior year period, while three analysts expected revenues of $140.80 million for the fourth-quarter.

Further, Analogic's Board of Directors, on September 11, 2012, declared a $0.10 cash dividend for each common share for its fourth fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2012. The cash dividend will be paid on October 9, 2012, to shareholders of record on September 27, 2012.
