In a recent visit to her hometown, country singer Carrie Underwood could not help but find herself at an animal shelter. Underwood is also trying to get the word out that people should adopt these animals.
"Hanging out at the Checotah animal shelter! Anyone want a kitten?" she wrote on Twitter. "I think we have a few!!! Ha ha!"
The singer visited the shelter over the weekend, accompanied by her mom Carole Underwood.
"She comes to visit every time she comes to see her mom," shelter director Kate Paris told PEOPLE.
Paris also said that when Carrie is around her mom and her help out at the shelter. Carrie did leave the shelter without buying a pet, however she said that she has some friends who are interested in purchasing some of the animals.
