Former Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart is sought by police for questioning after an alleged attack at a recent concert. TMZ reports that a warrant has been issued for Hart's arrest.
The musician, who's real name is Michael Hartman, was accused of assaulting a person at a Mickey Hart Band performance on September 8 at the Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Details surrounding the attack were unclear, but the alleged victim did file a police report that initiated the charges against the drummer. It is standard procedure in Kentucky to issue a warrant as soon as charges are filed.
Hart manned the drum kit for the Grateful Dead from 1967 until frontman Jerry Garcia passed in 1995. Throughout his solo career, Hart has issued five albums with the Mickey Hart Band.
