New vehicle sales in Australia increased 3.6 percent month-on-month in August, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said Monday.
A total of 93, 379 units were sold during the month according to data adjusted for seasonal variations. This followed a 1.1 percent decline in July, revised from previously reported 0.8 percent drop.
New vehicle sales rose 6.4 percent compared to August last year.
