Pre-market Movers For September 17 (AAPL, GNOM, IRIS, TSLA, LDK)

Gainers:

Apple Inc. (AAPL) is rising 0.52 percent to $697.00. The company announced pre-orders of its iPhone 5 topped two million in just 24 hours, more than double the previous record of one million held by iPhone 4S.

Complete Genomics, Inc. (GNOM) is rising 15 percent to $3.06 as the company has agreed to be acquired by BGI-Shenzhen for $3.15 per share in cash, without interest.

IRIS International Inc. (IRIS) is rising 44 percent to $19.35. Danaher Corp. (DHR) announced that it has agreed to acquire the company for $19.50 per share.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) is rising over 7 percent to $32.75.

Decliners:

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (LDK) is falling 4 percent to $1.19. The company's second quarter net loss widened from the year-ago period. Net sales for the quarter plunged from the prior year period and also missed the consensus estimate. The company also lowered its full-year revenue forecast.
