Taylor Swift will connect with classrooms across America for a live webcast. During the Scholastic sponsored event, Swift will talk on the importance of reading, field questions from students and play a song from her forthcoming album, Red.

"Taylor Swift shares 'where reading can take you' and how great literature has inspired her writing," according to a press release. The 30-minute event, Read Every Day, will be hosted by MTV correspondent Sway Calloway.

The October 24 event begins at 2 PM. Teachers may register their classrooms for participation through the Read Every Day link on Scholastic's site.

Swift reached 2 million students with a similar live webcast in 2010, "Read Now with Taylor Swift."

Red is due October 22 and features Taylor's number one Hot 100 hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
