Patti LaBelle's Lawsuit Falls Apart

After agreeing to pay $100,000 to settle a lawsuit, it appears that Patti LaBelle may be headed to court after all. The trouble began when LaBelle yelled at a neighbor, Roseanna Monk, in her Manhattan apartment complex for allegedly allowing her toddler to play in the shared hallway.

The dispute was settled earlier in September, but now a judge has ruled that, following an appearance on television in which she discussed its terms, Monk has violated the settlement.

Monk filed the suit on November 14 in New York; among the allegations the suit lists throwing a water bottle, verbal assault and emotionally scarring the toddler. Monk filed the suit after she says LaBelle refused to offer an apology.

Now the two have another opportunity to settle, or the case will be headed to court.
