The Japanese yen staged a sharp fall against major rivals at about 8:10 am ET Wednesday.
As of now, the yen is trading near fresh multi-day lows of 78.45 against the US dollar, 83.73 versus the Swiss franc and 101.32 against the euro from early European session's highs of 78.19, 83.25 and 100.74, respectively.
The Japanese currency also traded lower against other major currencies and presently worth 126.40 against the pound, 79.62 versus the loonie, 80.29 against the Australian dollar and 64.52 versus the NZ dollar.
