Acer has confirmed that their new Windows 8-based Iconia W510 tablet is set for release on November 9 and will be priced at $499. The tab runs on Windows 8 on Intel's 1.5GHz dualcore Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor and serves as a less expensive sibling to the W700.
Tech specs for the tab include a1,366 x 768 IPS LCD display, 2.2GB of RAM, the option of 32 or 64 GB of storage, microSD slot, microUSB and micro HDMI ports, WiFi a/b/g/n, g-sensor, digital compass, and gyroscope.
Additionally the W510 is compatible with an external keyboard with a full USB port. The tablet and keyboard together weigh in at 2.63 pounds and is 0.84-inches thick. Battery life is listed at about 9 hours and the tab also features front and back cameras.
