Casey's General Stores, Inc. (CASY) Monday said its same-store sales for prepared food and fountain, for the month of September, increased 8.4 percent from last year. Grocery and other merchandise increased 0.3 percent year-over-year.
Same-store gasoline gallons sold dropped 2.2 percent from last year. The gasoline margin was below the Company's fiscal 2013 goal of 14.0 cents per gallon. The average retail price of gasoline sold during September was $3.73 per gallon.
