The yen retreated slightly from early highs against its major counterparts in the European session on Friday.
The yen is now trading at 103.58 against the euro, 127.24 against the pound, 80.20 against the loonie and 85.69 against the franc, compared to multi-day highs of 103.20, 126.99, 80.02 and 85.41, respectively.
Against the NZ, Australian and U.S. dollars, the yen is trading at 65.03, 82.17 and 79.31, down from highs of 64.84, 81.97 and 79.15, respectively hit in previous deals.
