S&T Bancorp Q3 Profit Edges Up - Quick Facts

S&T Bancorp Inc. (STBA) reported that its third-quarter net income available to common shareholders rose to $12.60 million from $12.24 million in the same quarter last year. However, earnings per share for the quarter declined to $0.43 from $0.44 last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.31 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net Interest Income (FTE) for the quarter was $34.91 million, compared to $34.87 million in the prior year quarter. Total non-interest income was $12.58 million, up from $10.42 million in year ago quarter.

S&T Bancorp said that its board declared a $0.15 per share cash dividend at its regular meeting held October 22, 2012. The dividend is payable November 23, 2012 to shareholders of record on November 8, 2012. This dividend compared to a common stock dividend of $0.15 per share for the second quarter of 2012 and represents a 3.6 percent annualized yield using the October 22, 2012 closing price of a share of S&T common stock of $16.63.
